There are three seminal rules for using tracking codes. Although these rules seem straightforward, more often than not, affiliates lose important information and commissions by mistakenly disabling their tracking codes.

1. Do not tamper with tracking codes. By changing just one element in an affiliate tracking code, you risk losing the ability to track your referrals and commissions. If you would like to track a link differently, do not manually change a tracking code. Instead, return to the Income Access management area and create a new tracking code in our ?Marketing Tools? section.

2. Test every tracking code. Once your link is live, the first thing you should do is test the tracking code to be sure that it is indeed tracking. Click on each link that you have implemented and verify that the click is being tracked in the Income Access management area.

3. Generate regular reports. Make a point of logging into our management area on a weekly basis to check your traffic, earnings and referrals. By generating regular reports, you will be in a good position to take action on any sudden changes to your traffic or referrals. If you notice any inconsistencies ? especially a sudden decrease in referrals ? test all your affiliate links to ensure that the tracking codes are intact.

Whether you have one website, or 100 sites, you can track each site or campaign separately under one Income Access account.

Our management area enables you to create a unique code for each of your websites. This makes it easy for you to view separate traffic, referral and earnings stats for each website or campaign.

Here?s how to create unique codes for each of your websites or campaigns in our management area. It?s easy!

1. Log into your account and go to ?My Account?.
2. Click on ?Affiliate Sites? in the left hand navigation.
3. Enter your website or campaign information in the form.
4. We will assign a unique code to your campaign or website. You can view all your unique codes in the grid on the top of the page.
5. To add this code to a marketing tool (banner, text link, etc.), go to ?Marketing Tools? and use the drop-down menu that lists all your campaigns. Choose which campaign or website will carry your link.
6. Then choose your marketing tool in the next drop-down menu. Your unique campaign code will automatically be inserted into the tool?s HTML. Simply copy and paste this HTML into the appropriate space on your Web site.

Simply cut and paste the code for one of our affiliate program banners into your website. The tracking code in these banners will identify which affiliates register as a result of your link. It will then track all affiliate sign-ups and revenue that your referral generates?
