BAC is about to start, and we’ve been taking the time to introduce some of the featured partners who will be with us at booth C14 in the Catalan capital.
In this second installment of the featured partner interview series, we talked to Garry McGibbon, Communications Manager at StanJames.com. Garry has been at the company since 2007, working within the trading and marketing teams. As the Communications Manager, Garry oversees a team of copywriters and guides the editorial direction of several websites operated by StanJames.com. Prior to working in the bookmaking industry, Garry spent nearly a decade as a writer and analyst for esteemed horse racing publishers Timeform.
We sat down with Mr. McGibbon for a short Q & A:Income Access: What made you decide to participate at BAC this year?Garry McGibbon: StanJames.com owns a Spanish-facing business, Goldenpark.es, which we are naturally seeking to expand through Spain. So, besides the fact BAC is one of the year’s leading affiliate conferences, it made plenty of sense to attend this year and promote Goldenpark.es to affiliate partners old and new. In addition, Goldenpark.es has an office in Barcelona, so we had even more reason to attend!IA: What are you most looking forward to at the conferences?GM: Reaching out to new Spanish-based affiliates with the new Goldenpark.es brand, as well as meeting up with our existing StanJames partners. And, of course, getting some new partnerships in place!IA: What’s the main message that you are looking to share with affiliates at BAC?GM: Simple – whether it is StanJames.com or Goldenpark.es, we’re keen to have all forward-thinking affiliates on board with us!
IA: If you had to sum up StanJames.com in one word, what would it be?GM: Exciting! Or maybe growing…can I have two words?
IA: What StanJames.com achievements are you most proud of?GM: I’m especially proud of what we’ve managed to achieve this year at StanJames.com on the acquisition front. We’ve increased acquisition across all channels by more than 20%, and affiliates have more than played their part in that. In addition, affiliate net revenue is up significantly year-on-year for sportsbook, casino and poker. Long may it continue!
