With our latest Meet the IA Team post, we took some time to speak with Veronika Katsarova, an Affiliate Marketing Manager working on the Income Access team. Veronika provides a peak into the life of an Affiliate Marketing Manager, along with valuable insights on how she looks to drive the affiliate channel for the brands she manages.

Name: Veronika Katsarova
Position: Affiliate Marketing Manager
Background: I joined Income Access in early 2023, bringing a diverse background to my position. Before this role, I worked as a quality assurance specialist in the IT sector and a customer service executive for Skrill and NETELLER. However, I have always been passionate about marketing. Therefore, while working in these previous roles, I completed several digital marketing courses, which eventually inspired me to complete a master’s degree in marketing and advertising management.
Tell us a little bit about your past work experience(s) and how it helps with your current role at Income Access:
My past experience equipped me with strong communication and problem-solving skills, which I now use to build solid relationships with both affiliates and clients, while efficiently resolving any issues that arise.
Attention to detail is another crucial skill I think is important in this role, particularly when it comes to analyzing data and ensuring accurate reporting.
What does a typical day look like for an Affiliate Marketing Manager at IA?
A typical day for me starts with reviewing my tasks for the day. I begin by checking daily client data to ensure everything is accurate across the respective platforms. I also review conversations with affiliates from the previous day to make sure all questions have been addressed and to keep the communication flow going. Afternoons are usually when I have client, affiliate, or internal calls.
What are some of the main activities you do which help you to drive the affiliate channel for the brands you manage?
The most important aspects of driving the affiliate channel are maintaining strong relationships with both affiliates and clients. I prioritize being open and honest in all conversations and ensure that I respond to any queries in a timely manner. Tracking KPIs is also vital to ensure that the affiliate programs remain healthy and continue to grow.

Are there any fun facts about yourself that you’d like to share?
Unlike most of my coworkers, I don’t drink coffee at all! Also, on top of being an Affiliate Marketing Manager, I am also a certified Pilates instructor.
What does a typical weekend look like for you?
My weekends usually start with a special breakfast, with pancakes being a good example. I’m quite a foodie, so weekends are when I plan my meals for the upcoming week and do my grocery shopping, making sure I have everything I need to prepare the meals I’ve planned. I also like to take some time to unwind, maybe by reading a book.
I’m also very active, so I always include some form of exercise like Pilates, a strength workout, or simply a stroll in the park.
What are some hobbies that you enjoy?
Reading, exercising, baking and trying new recipes.
Speed Round:
Food: Pasta, Brownies, anything chocolatey
Movie: Jurassic Park, Jurassic World
Sport: Tennis
Animal: Dogs
Musical Artist: I listen to a variety of genres so I can’t pick just one artist
